Doing workouts on a regular basis and following a balanced but still not losing enough weight? Here are some bad morning habits that we do on a regular basis that builds up fat in our body.

1. Sleeping too much or not sleeping at all will delay your fat loss process

There is a type of internal clock present in our body known as the circadian rhythm that actually runs in the background to carry out essential functions of the body. There are certain types of hormones produced in the body at certain times which encourages our fat loss and weight loss goals.

When we are sleeping at night the cortisol levels in our body start going down. A rise in growth hormone is seen during deep sleep. The rest mechanism of our body improves which indirectly helps in fat loss. When we wake up, the opposite things happen. Our cortisol levels start going up and growth hormone starts declining. If you are sleeping way too less or way too more, it will lead to an increase in fat. If you are sleeping less the production of cortisol hormones increases and this will alter the circadian rhythm. This reduces the fat loss process. Similarly, if you are sleeping way too much there will be hormonal imbalances which again delay the fat loss process. So a sleep of about 6-8 hours is considered perfect. If you are lazy and need to lose weight then visit ways to lose weight for super lazy people.

2. We do not drink enough water every day

Lipolysis is the process by which fat loss takes place in our body. Fatty acids are produced in our body that enters our bloodstream. These fatty acids are also known as fats are burnt off by physical activities or daily workouts. Under such scenarios, if the water level in our body is less the hydration process may slow down. So after waking up, always make sure to have at least 2 glasses of water. Not only will this habit help you in losing weight but also will help with indigestion.

3. Maintain a specific time to weigh yourself

When we are talking about ways for weight loss, a weighing machine is mandatory to keep track. The main mistake that we do with a weighing machine is that we check our weight anytime which is absolutely wrong. As a result, you will see fluctuations in the reading. There are several reasons which lead to these fluctuations. If you are weighing right after having food it’s common to see fluctuations in the readings. There is a specific time to check your weight. Always weigh in the morning after using your washroom. This will help you to determine your actual weight.

4 Do not drink tea or coffee right after waking up

When we are waking up in the evening we feel absolutely fresh. Consuming alkaline foods, low carb fruits or vegetables will keep us energetic throughout the day and keeps our metabolism high. But straightaway after waking up in the morning we drink tea or coffee which are acidic in nature. Consuming acidic foods regularly just after waking up may lead to insulin sensitivity. Consuming regular foods after that will deposit fat in our body. Creating an alkaline environment right in the morning is highly necessary to improve metabolism.

5. Consume sunlight in the mornings

Vitamin D and Vitamin B12 play a major role in your weight loss journey. Foods with Vitamin B12 promote metabolism by converting food into sugar, thus helping you in your weight loss journey.

On the other hand, Vitamin D is not just a vitamin, it is a type of hormone that helps in producing hormones such as testosterone. Testosterone helps in building muscles and losing fat.

You can consume supplements or foods that are rich in Vitamin D, but sunlight is the best source of Vitamin D. During summers 7 am is considered the best time for consuming sunlight (5 minutes for the front body, 5 minutes for the back body). You can always use sunscreen if you are too concerned about getting tanned.

6. Heavy breakfast is not always right

When we are talking about Indian breakfasts, parathas or puris becomes the best choices. These foods have high saturated fats, refined carbohydrates, and sugars. These foods slow down your weight loss process. First of all, it is not mandatory to consume a heavy breakfast if you are on your weight loss journey. Instead, you can try intermittent fasting where you remain hungry for 16 hours and consume food in the remaining 8 hours. This method suppresses your appetite. You can also include protein-rich foods in your diet to boost metabolism.

So these are the 6-morning habits that you need to change if you are trying to lose weight. Diet and exercises are highly important to losing weight. Apart from these two, improving other habits will definitely help you to lose fat quickly.
