A motorcyclist was killed when a truck hit him in Mansurabad area of Chittagong city, police said. The accident took place at 9:15 am on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Abu Bakar Siddique, 56, of Chittagong Port. He is the father of one son and one daughter. Abu Bakar, a resident of Kurigram Sadar, used to live with his family in Bandar High School Colony, police said.

Double Mooring Police Sub-Inspector (SI) Mahbub Rabbani told Prothom Alo that Abu Bakar was going to Dewanhat from Eidgaon area of the city on a motorcycle. Mahbub Rabbani said that Abu Bakr died on the spot. The truck was seized but the driver escaped, the police official said.
