An exporter named HM Fashionwear in Dhaka has tried to smuggle Tk 8,16,526 under the guise of exporting garments to Greece. However, the officials of Chittagong Custom House caught this attempt of money laundering. Ahsan Ullah, deputy commissioner of Chittagong Custom House, confirmed the matter on Sunday.

According to Chittagong Customs sources, HM Fashionware, an exporter from Dhaka, has done LC through Agrani Bank against 22,953 pieces. Mim International in Agrabad area of ​​Chittagong city works as the nominated C&F agent of the company. The consignment was loaded in containers at the depot of Echak Brothers Industries Limited for export to Greece.
