Byju Raveendran is a 39-year-old Indian educator and entrepreneur born in the Kannur district of Kerala. He comes from a science background as his mother was a mathematics teacher and his father a physics professor. He completed his early education in Malayalam medium school and then obtained a B.Tech degree from the Government College of Engineering, Kannur. After securing 100 percentile in the CAT Exams, he began coaching the students willing to clear CAT Exams. In January 2021, he became a non-official member of the National Startup Advisory Council. He has also received the Manorama Newsmaker, Business Transformation, and 2021 FILA Entrepreneur for the Year.

Divya Gokulnath is a 33 years old entrepreneur, director, and co-founder of Byjus. She is married to Byju Raveendran and has two kids. She was a student at the GRE preparation course when she met Raveendran, her tutor, for the first time. Divya is born and brought up in Bangalore and is the only child of her parents. Her father is a nephrologist at the Apollo Hospital, and her mother was a programming executive at a broadcasting company Doordarshan. She completed her early education at Frank Anthony Public School and attended RV College of Engineering to pursue a Bachelor of Technology in Biotechnology. She teaches English, Mathematics, and Logical Reasoning along with other members of the Byjus Classes. She has also won Women Who Make India, Most Powerful Women, Asia’s Power Businesswomen, and LinkedIn Top Voices Award.
