A new patient has been admitted to Dhaka Hospital after contracting dengue fever in the last 24 hours. At present, a total of eight dengue patients are admitted in different hospitals of the country.
This was stated in a statement on dengue sent from the Health Emergency Operations Center and Control Room of the Department of Health on Monday.
At present, six dengue patients are admitted in different hospitals in Dhaka and two in other departments outside Dhaka, the statement said.
The total number of patients admitted in different hospitals of the country from January 1 to May 9 this year is 198. At the same time, 189 of them returned home after recovering from the hospital. No one has died of dengue this year.
