Do take breaks
Just because you’re working from home, that doesn’t mean you’re not working hard. Many people have actually reported that they work harder (and better) when working from home, which highlights that it isn’t always a walk in the park!
However, it’s important that you do give yourself breaks during the day (the same way you would in the office). When lunch arrives, you should shut down your laptop or PC and take an hour-long break at a minimum.

Do stay connected with co-workers
Due to the fact you’re no longer in an office, this means you won’t see your co-workers face-to-face anymore. The solution is to stay connected with them via apps such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom to ensure that your standards and teamwork levels don’t slip.
Do dress professionally
Unfortunately, lots of people have gotten lazy because they’re working from home. In fact, 30% of people say that they attend remote business meetings in pajamas while at home – which is not good.
Therefore, you need to make sure you still dress professionally every single day.
Don’t turn the TV on
When you’re at home, it can be tempting to watch TV and work at the same time. However, this never works – as TV is simply too distracting. If you need to, unplug the TV so that you can’t turn it on.
Don’t always be on your smartphone
Unless you’re on a break, you shouldn’t be using your smartphone while working from home. Much like the TV, it will only distract you and negatively impact the work you produce and the way you communicate with co-workers and customers. Therefore, put your smartphone on silent mode or turn it off entirely.
Don’t go crazy with food and drink
Sure, being at home means you have more freedom to eat and drink when you feel like it, but make sure that you don’t go too crazy. Before you know it, your desk can quickly become a mess and your health can take a negative hit.
Remember, health is wealth, especially when it comes to working from home.
