Unlike Sevilla, West Ham hasn’t tasted a European victory in the past 58 years, and this time winning the Europa Conference League was all they could think of. Eventually, West Ham found the edge in the final of the Conference League only to lift a major European trophy after decades of waiting.
The match between West Ham and Fiorentina was held in Prague, but the supporters of each club were plenty. The atmosphere was amazing to watch, and both teams put on a brilliant display. It took West Ham almost 89 minutes to slot in the winning goal that sealed the match and the trophy for them.
After Said Benrahma’s penalty goal in the regular time, Fiorentina was crushed to having gone a goal down. Soon, Fiorentina equalized with the goal from Giacomo Bonaventura. But, an 89th-minute goal from West Ham’s Jared Bowen sealed the match for West Ham, ensuring their first European trophy in about 58 years.

While City is looking forward to a treble of trophies, Inter is also looking forward to doing a duplet of trophies after having won the Coppa Italia. Both teams are eyeing the prestigious silverware, but only time will tell who will win it.
In the meantime, news of Lionel Messi leaving Europe has surfaced after month-long rumors of Messi returning to Barcelona were denied. Messi himself confirmed the possibility of a return to his beloved team stays impossible after an arrangement to bring Lionel Messi back to Barcelona derailed. Messi’s next steps will be in America, where he will play for the Major League Soccer side Inter Miami FC.
