Chelsea is now in rebuilding, booting out players who have not settled at Stamford Bridge while recruiting talented ones like Raheem Sterling, who is the main focus of today’s player rating prediction for FIFA 23.
Chelsea has always been a strong squad stacked with world-class superstars that are all competing for places in the starting eleven.
Now under new ownership, it would seem that a new direction has been set up, and certain players who did not quite make the cut have now been allowed to leave while the club focuses on adding new players who fit in with the manager, Thomas Tuchel’s mentality and tactics.
One such player is former Manchester City forward, Raheem Sterling. The 27-year old winger is a fearsome speed merchant on the field, and he is also capable of smashing in some wonderful goals too.
Last season, Sterling was far from his best, only managing thirteen (13) league goals while not being able to reach the top ten (10) list for goal assists for Manchester City, even though the team won the English Premier League yet again.
Rumours of a dressing room disharmony and other factors was abuzz, and eventually, City had opted for a new elite striker in Erling Haaland, one of the world’s most brightest players in the same veins as Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham.
Sterling did no wrong in his actual on-field displays, but he was limited by the number of starts that he was getting at the Etihad, hence why he might have needed a change of scenery, something that Chelsea was happy to agree to.
Hence, it would be safe to assume that his FIFA 23 rating would be something like this:

- Dribbling: 87
- Shooting: 82
- Passing: 80 (+1)
- Physicality: 66
- Defending: 45
Most of Sterling’s main attributes are unchanged because he did not deserve any at all since last season – nothing bad to warrant a decrease, but nothing spectacular to justify an increase too.
Still, he still has room for growth, so a slight increase in his passing ability might suffice.
This is a curious one, so let’s see how he really fares in-game on 30th September 2022 (Friday).
