Four military cadets have died in an accident at a military college in the Canadian province of Ontario.

The car carrying the cadets fell into the water on the campus of Kingston Royal Military College on Friday (April 29) morning (local time), the Canadian National Defense Department said.

The slain officer cadets were Jack Hogarth, Andrei Honseu, Broden Murphy and Andres Salek.

The Canadian Forces National Investigation Service is investigating the incident, the Guardian reported.

“Their families have been informed,” College Commodore Josie Kurtz told a news conference. The whole RMC family is devastated by this tragic loss. “

RMC’s campus is located on Point Frederick Peninsula, where Lake Ontario meets the St. Lawrence River.

Meanwhile, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau expressed his condolences to the families and friends of the four cadets.

“My heart goes out to the families and friends of the four cadet officers who lost their lives in Kingston,” Trudeau said in a statement on Twitter.
