Android devices come in all shapes and sizes. There are Android phones, Android tablets, and now Android smartwatches. Wear OS is the operating system for Android smartwatches. Just like on an Android phone or tablet, you can install APKs on a Wear OS smartwatch. In this blog post, I’m going to show you how to do it. Stay tuned!

WHAT IS THE USE OF SIDELOADING APPS ON WEAR OS SMARTWATCH?

There are a few reasons why you might want to sideload apps on your Wear OS smartwatch. Maybe you’re using a non-Google Play Store app that isn’t available in the Wear OS app store. Or maybe you’re using an older version of an app that isn’t compatible with the latest version of Wear OS. Whatever the reason, sideloading apps on Wear OS is pretty easy.

HOW TO SIDELOAD APPS ON WEAR OS SMARTWATCH?

The first thing you need to do is enable sideloading on your Wear OS smartwatch. To do this, go to the Settings menu and scroll down to the Security & privacy section. Tap on the toggle next to Unknown sources and turn it on.

Now that you’ve enabled Unknown sources, you’re ready to sideload apps on your Wear OS smartwatch. There are two ways to do this: using a USB cable or using Bluetooth.

If you’re using a USB cable, connect your Wear OS smartwatch to your computer using a micro-USB cable.
