How to apply for an online visa from Russia to India
Since India shifted the visa application process online in 2014, the process of applying for an Indian E-VISA is significantly easier. It now allows citizens of 169 countries to apply for an electronic travel permit and does not involve any periodic visits to Indian embassies.
Russian citizens can apply for one of three types of Indian E-VISA depending on the purpose of their visit. Once applicants decide which visa fits their needs, all they have to do is fill out an electronic visa form for India.

Finland is one of 169 countries whose citizens are eligible to apply for an E-VISA for India. Finns can apply for all types of E-VISA: tourist, business, and medical. Requesting an eVisa is easy and it is a completely online process so there is no need to go to the embassy or consulate. All applicants in Finland will need a stable internet connection and the necessary documentation.
Tourist visas for India cannot be extended and travel in restricted areas is not allowed.
Indian visa for Finland citizens available
Finnish travelers should request the most appropriate type of Evisa for their travel purposes.
Tourist E-visa allows travelers to engage in tourism activities, meet friends or family, or engage in activities such as yoga or meditation retreats.
On the other hand, India’s business visa for Finns allows business-related activities in India, such as:
- Sales management
- Join the business meeting
- Conducting tours
- Giving speeches
- Recruitment of manpower
- Finally, Medical e-VISA for India allows medical treatment in India.
Documents required to obtain an Indian visa as a Finnish citizen
India’s E-VISA requirements for citizens of Finland are as follows:
- A passport is valid for at least six months from the date of entry into India
- An email address to receive e-visa
- A credit or debit card
- A digital copy of the passport biography page
- A recent passport-style color photograph
- Yellow Fever Vaccine Card (if applicable)
- Finnish applicants are invited to check all Indian visa entry requirements in advance as some documents may take longer to obtain.
Important: Finnish children entering India must comply with the same requirements in individual applications, so their parents and/or guardians must be informed of the details.
