The Chief Minister described the unveiling of the Rs 200 crore factory as a fantastic milestone, saying it will become Asia’s largest spice processing unit when the second phase is finished in the next 15 months.

The 20,000-tonne-capacity factory will include washing, grading, grinding, steam sterilisation, destemming, and packaging of 15 different spices, including chillies. He claims that the factory will directly and indirectly employ 1,500 people and support over 14,000 farmers.
