Introduction:

Miro worked on all aspects of managing an experimentation program while having limited internal resources, starting with the initial strategy for where to focus efforts based on our bandwidth calculations and continuing through research, prioritizing, test ideation, design, and test development. This increased internal trust in the testing process.

Within the first few weeks of launching the program, Miro placed our first test live to aid in getting the experimentation engine up and running as quickly as feasible. We were able to rapidly resolve any problems and keep up with the business’s rapid expansion because of our brute-force approach.

A business called Miro (also known as RealtimeBoard) creates a whiteboarding platform that allows cross-functional teams to collaborate. Meetings and workshops, agile workflows, diagramming, research, planning, mind maps, wireframing, etc. are among the answers it offers. Additionally, the platform allows for integrations with different apps.

Miro is in a stage of rapid expansion. Its size has doubled during the past six months and will do so once more in the following six. In a setting of rapid expansion, things are chaotic, and the teams you may typically rely on either don’t exist yet or are in motion. This was true when Miro first asked us to work together.

Miro Latest News:

Over the past two years, the acceptance of remote and hybrid working has skyrocketed, creating a previously unheard-of requirement for firms to collaborate remotely. At the forefront of this quick transition was Miro. It is a whiteboarding tool that enables teams to communicate online from any location.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, when working from home was mandated, Miro usage increased. In January 2022, it had 30 million users, a 500% increase. Both individual users and staff members at its more than 130,000 paying clients, including 99 percent of the Fortune 100, are included in this. Through the use of Amazon Web Services, Miro drove this growth and gave its clients a dependable, quick, and secure experience throughout the epidemic and beyond.

Miro Future Plans:

The top platform for visual collaboration. Without being constrained by physical location, meeting space, or whiteboards, Miro enables in-office, hybrid, and remote teams to interact across formats, tools, channels, and time zones.

How many people can use Miro at once?

Normally, you can have up to 100 users simultaneously working on one board (make sure to check the recommendations above). You can also try to turn off the collaborators’ cursors. It may help to improve performance. We had 180 clients working on a miro board at the same time and it worked very fluently.

Does Miro work without Internet?

Miro doesn’t have an offline mode and doesn’t really distinguish between collaborative and personal boards (you can make a board private, but it’s still the same type of board).

Conclusion:

Before the COVID-19 epidemic hit, Miro developed steadily and consistently as the use of its online whiteboards increased. However, the Miro team did not foresee the surge that would occur when the epidemic pushed hundreds of millions of people to work remotely full-time. By November 2020, there were 10 million users, quadrupling the number of users in May 2020.

Miro was prepared using AWS. According to Brian Wehrle, software architect at Miro, “Without AWS, it would not have been possible for us to manage the COVID-19 spike and maintain a high level of customer service.” “It would have been difficult to scale that quickly with a more rigid architecture or on-premises resources. We are fortunate to have finished moving before the pandemic.
