Elon Musk was in yet another news piece as his million-dollar company, Space X, successfully launched its next-generation Starship cruise vessel. It is the world’s most expensive rocket ever built, and it burst into flames minutes after takeoff.
Space X launched the uncrewed spaceship to go around the globe, making a full circle from the southern tip of Texas, near the Mexican border. The rocket, which carried no humans or satellites, appeared taller than the Statue of Liberty. The tall rocket measured 120 meters high, and it took off from the Space X launch venue at the company’s Starbase spaceport and test facility east of Brownsville, Texas.
Space X had made remarks that the rocket would travel for 90 minutes, and the statement backfired.
The images and videos of the launch have gone viral. An image of the rocket launching got more attention as people saw that out of 33 engines, some weren’t working to do the needful. After launching, the rocket reached a height of 39 kilometers. The flight plan had called for the booster to peel away from the spacecraft minutes after liftoff, but that didn’t happen.
Many spectators watched the launch at a distance from the launch site in South Padre Island, miles away from the Boca Chica Beach launch site. As the rocket lifted off, the crowd screamed: “Go, baby, go!” Musk tweeted: “An exciting test launch of Starship! Learned a lot for the next test launch in a few months. ”
According to an official, the flight would have covered a circular path around the globe, but as we know, that didn’t happen and instead, the rocket exploded. The starship crashed in the Pacific near Hawaii after the disaster.
Nevertheless, this upsetting view didn’t stop the Space X crews from cheering the launch of the spacecraft. The rocket took off the ground without any signs of struggle was a positive sign, and the Space X crew enjoyed the feat.
