Cricketer Mosharraf Hossain Rubel returned home from hospital today (Friday). The left-arm all-rounder has been battling cancer for a long time. He was admitted to a private hospital in the capital. Rubel has been taken home as he feels a little better than before.

Chaiti Farhana Rupa, wife of Musharraf Rubel, told Dhaka Post: “Alhamdulillah is much better now. That’s why I brought him home from the hospital this afternoon. Although there is a chemotherapy date next week.

Cricketer Mosharraf Hossain Rubel was admitted to the ICU in October last year due to poor physical condition. After recovering from there, he went abroad for treatment. The last time a doctor came from India was on February 20. However, back in the country, he fell ill again. For this reason, Rubel was taken to ICU again for some time.

Rubel dropped out of the field in 2019 after being diagnosed with a brain tumor. Although he almost recovered from the treatment, a new tumor was found in his brain. Rubel’s life was in danger when he was diagnosed with a new tumor. The life-and-death cricketer also received medical treatment in Singapore.

In the second week of November last year, Rubel’s brain tumor was surgically removed again at a hospital in India. However, there has not been much improvement.

The age is only 39. Despite missing out on the national team, Rubel had a chance to further his rich domestic cricket career. Or, like some of his teammates in the national team, he could have settled down in coaching and sat in a chair of the Bangladesh Cricket Board. As Shahriar Nafees and Abdur Razzak are sitting. But Rubel is running from one hospital to another, from one doctor to another.
