Russian tycoon Romano Abramovich may have been poisoned. He may have been the victim of a discussion in Kiev earlier this month.

Abramovich has largely recovered from possible poisoning. However, sources close to the Russian tycoon said that he was still suffering from skin rashes, red eyes and watery eyes.

This was reported in the Wall Street Journal, an influential newspaper in the United States. Romano Abramovich is one of the richest Russian billionaires in the world.

Abramovich, the former owner of Chelsea Football Club in the United Kingdom, and two Ukrainian peace negotiators met in Kiev on the evening of March 3. According to the investigative news website Bellingcat, all three have since shown signs of nerve agent application. They ate nothing but chocolate and water during the meeting. After the meeting, they have skin inflammation, burning eyes and severe pain in the back of the eyes throughout the night.

However, a correspondent for the Wall Street Journal described Abramovich’s symptoms of poisoning as “mild.”

There is a mystery as to how this happened in Ukraine itself. Many suspect the Russian military intelligence service, the GRU, of doing so. Opposition politicians have been accused of poisoning Russian spies in the past.
