Simran starring Kangana Ranaut, Catherine Dyer, Mark Anthony Justice is an Indian comedy-drama and a woman-centric film directed by Hansal Mehta. The movie released on 15 September, comes up with the box office collection of Rs 4.12 crore on its third day. Kangana has done better before so by the figure of box office collection of Simran, the movie has to go a long way.
The movie is based on the real-life story of ‘Bombshell Bandit’ Sandeep Kaur who addressed from Chandigarh. Kangana, as a housekeeper from Gujarat, gets involved in crime trying to step into Kaur’s shoe. A middle class, 30-year old divorcee working in the United States gets drawn into crime. Her assignation with gambling turns out the leads to several more and before you know it, Praful (Kangana) is in a dirty mess.
After getting a fervent response on the first day of its release ‘Simran’, the movie has an average weekend and has to collect more. The movie has a different story which is an interesting part too. Not-so-good reactions could be the outcome of Kangana’s controversy before the release as all the attention was drawn by that. Kangna Ranaut as lead trails the entire movie on her shoulder. Despite the fact that Kangana has worked brilliantly in the movie, yet it is one-time watch movie and reviewed average.
The lead, a lady with a brave spirit, enjoy by her own set of controls. She denies to have ‘sex without protection’ and is every ready for nonstop adventures. It is indeed Kangana’s talent that has drawn this much of attention to the movie.
