Today marks the birthday of nine-time National Award winning actor-producer-director, Alamgir.
On this joyous occasion, we caught up with his friends for the film fraternity to know more about their fond memories of the actor.
“Alamgir is very friendly,” shared celebrated Uzzal who has been friends with the legend for decades. “He is an amazing artiste and a few among the legends that we still have among us. I wish him the very best, and many more such years of success.”
“He is very meritorious and has given a lot of amazing stories to us,” said Noted actor Sohel Rana. “It is very difficult to forge a bond with the audience and Alamgir has managed to build a very strong bond with his fans. He has contributed greatly to this industry.”
“Alamgir is a true artiste,” said Suborna Mustafa, who had worked with him in many films. “He is an amazing, person and working with his was lovely. I wish him a very happy birthday!”
Rozina shared a heartfelt birthday wish for Alamgir. “I run out of words when someone asks me to comment on Alamgir’s performances. He is magical,” shared. “He shapeshifts and takes the silhouette of any role that he plays on the screen. He is an absolute delight on screen and I wish him good health and an amazing year!”
Finally, Alamgir shared his plans for the day with us. “I have no demands this year. I just wish that people keep loving me the way they have for decades and hope that I stay healthy,” he said.
His wife, legendary singer Runa Laila also wished him good health and a prosperous year on his birthday. “I only pray that he stays healthy, happy and is also surrounded by people who love him wholeheartedly,” she shared.
