The rest of the batsmen played without any pressure as big runs were scored in the opening match. Shivam Dubey’s 32 off 19 balls and skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s 21 off 7 balls brought Chennai a big lead. Dhoni’s innings has caught a different eye. He made his innings with 1 boundary and 2 sixes.

Delhi was not fighting today. Prithvi was hospitalized with fever. He was replaced by Srikar Bharat as the opening batsman. But could do nothing. David Warner also failed today. He was dismissed for 19 off 12 balls. Mitchell Marsh and Rishabh Pant tried a bit. In the third wicket partnership, the two made 36 off 19 balls. But then nothing.
