Living…
The sitting room centres around a built-in log burner, perfect for returning after a long walk or just for snuggling on the huge leather L-shaped sofa. There is a large wall-mounted smart TV, or pick up one of the books that adorn the shelves on a cosy evening in.
The kitchen and dining area are open plan, plus there’s a breakfast bar. There is access to great pub food nearby, or for those who like to cook up a storm, the large kitchen is well-equipped. There’s an induction hob, electric oven, large Smeg fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave and separate wine fridge. Make morning coffees using the Nespresso machine, which includes a starter pack of capsules.
The dining table seats up to 6 guests, for those who also have the neighbouring Bothy cottage booked. The table is separated from the kitchen by the breakfast bar, to give space for workers catching up on emails or for a decadent meal in prepared by one of our partner private chefs. Pop along to Coghlans for some local deli shop produce as well as a great selection of a la carte dine at home meal options so you can put your feet up!
Sleeping…
Through the glass French doors is the spacious bedroom, characterful with exposed stonework, plenty of storage and bespoke furniture. Rest your head on the Super King-sized bed, framed with a bespoke wooden headboard, with subtle night lights for reading. This tranquil hideaway includes a quiet corner with a writing desk and dressing table.
Concealed sliding glass doors separate off the bedroom ensuite. The decadent freestanding bath is perfect for a soak in the bubbles after a busy day exploring, and there is a separate shower.
Outside…
In front of the Coach House is a gravel parking area running the length of the house. Through bi-fold doors from the kitchen is an open pagoda with a wooden table and chairs, for an all-round dining experience. There’s also a charcoal BBQ.
Parking at the old coach house is private, located right outside the property on the graveled driveway.
Although the surrounding grounds are private, for a morning stretch of the legs or a longer stroll, a public footpath starts the other side of the garden gate through the fields.
Practicalities…
On arrival, you will find a locally sourced welcome hamper. The modern kitchen has a full kitchen inventory for a home from home experience, and a starter pack of logs, kindling, and luxury toiletries are included. There is wi-fi throughout.
The property is accessible from a private driveway, with two neighboring properties within the grounds. One of these properties is a family home, and the other property is The Bothy which is a two-bedroom property which sits behind The Coach House. Both properties can be booked together for groups of up to 6 guests.
There is a separate cloakroom, located off the kitchen. Due to the generous open plan layout, The Coach House is a great property for anyone looking for accessible accommodation with a ground floor bedroom.
