However, such obstacles and negative feelings are countered by a continued effort to improve yourself mentally, physically, and emotionally. Most importantly, pushing yourself to never let go of your passion is crucial.
The above-mentioned lessons are something that David Capablanca, a successful financial trader and the founder of Friendly Bear Research, has applied to his life and continues to do so. David is also the host of The Friendly Bear Podcast, available on YouTube, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and all major audio outlets. In 2021 he was the lead investigator of the FLGC (Flora Growth) short report in which he traveled to Bucaramanga, Colombia, to expose a pump and dump scam. Due to David’s skills and commitment to the cause, the FLGC short report was regarded to be one of the top short reports of the entire financial market in 2021.
David entered the world of financial trading because he possessed a love for the field and was a natural when it came to interpreting the ups and downs of the market. To brush up his skills and knowledge he ended up taking several online courses that revealed all the tricks of the trade.
Elaborating further, David shared, “With trading, I saw that I was more in control of my future and that my performance determined my results.” He furthered, “I realized that many of my skills from architecture, especially the artistic skills, translated to trading since it is an art and a science, just like architecture.”
This success in the financial field was followed by the idea to create a podcast. That is because David believed this was necessary for upcoming traders to learn from professionals about the financial market, their challenges, and how one can master the field. Hence, the podcast titled The Friendly Bear came into being. “The big picture of the podcast was to create an outlet for the bear players of the market where they have a voice. This was essential since there is very little out there for the bear genre,” explained David Capablanca.
Moreover, David dreams of a world where people have the courage to take up any field they want at any point in life. Taking such tough decisions is always easier when one knows professionals will always be available as a guiding hand.
The idea turned out to be a success, and the podcast has over 300 episodes with top traders from around the world. What is interesting is that he was in his early thirties when he decided to try his hand at another profession, and because of sheer hard work, he was able to carve a niche for himself. “Changing careers in your thirties is hard,” David said. “People in your life will think you are crazy; I had to trust myself and decide to ‘burn the boats.’ I had to disassociate from anybody that was not a true believer in me and go into a vacuum to learn and master the craft of trading. It was like destroying the old version of myself and starting all over again,” he stressed.
Though David Capablanca is a known name today, none of his achievements would have been possible if he hadn’t strived to become the best version of himself. And that is exactly what sets him apart from his competitors!
