The Pakistan Army has warned politicians, journalists and analysts against dragging the armed forces and its leadership into the country’s politics. They say such practices are “extremely harmful.”

A statement from the Army’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Sunday that efforts were being made to forcefully and deliberately drag Pakistan’s armed forces into the country’s ongoing political talks. News from The Express Tribune.


And such efforts include referring directly to the armed forces and its leadership in political discussions. Some political leaders, some journalists and analysts are doing this in various public forums and various social media platforms.

ISPR says such unsubstantiated, defamatory and provocative statements / comments are extremely harmful. The Pakistan Armed Forces is deeply concerned about such illegal and immoral practices. The expectation of the armed forces is that in the greater interest of the country, the armed forces will be kept away from politics and everyone will abide by the law.
