Today is March 26, the 52nd great independence day and national day of the country. In the early hours of March 26, 1971, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman called upon the invading forces to resist with all his might and to continue fighting till the final victory was achieved. After 9 months of bloody liberation war, Bangladesh gained independence.

Bangladeshis from all over the world including Bangladesh will celebrate the day. Due to the global Corona epidemic, Independence Day has been celebrated on a limited scale and in strict hygiene. This year, the situation is under control. So this time there will be more spontaneity in the celebration of Independence Day.

According to the boss, the President gave a separate message on the occasion of Independence and National Day. Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

He wished and congratulated all Bangladeshis in the country and abroad on the occasion of Independence Day.

The President said the present government is making relentless efforts to realize Bangabandhu’s dream. To institutionalize democracy, tolerance, human rights and the rule of law must be consolidated.

In her Independence Day message, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, “Bangladesh will soon emerge as a developed and prosperous state on the world map if the trend of development that has been created in the country continues.”

The Prime Minister extended greetings and congratulations to all Bangladeshis living in the country and abroad. He also thanked all the friendly countries, organizations, institutions and individuals for being by his side during the liberation war.

According to Bass, detailed programs have been taken at the national level to celebrate the great Independence and National Day with due dignity. This day will be celebrated all over the country including Dhaka with the sound of artillery in the morning. As soon as the sun rises, wreaths will be laid at the Savar National Memorial to pay homage to the heroic freedom fighters who were martyred in the war of liberation. On this day, the national flag will be hoisted at sunrise in all government, semi-government, autonomous and private buildings.

Bass further said, on the occasion of the Independence Day celebrations, the President said with the sunrise today. Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will lay a wreath at the National Memorial in Savar.

On the occasion of Independence Day, various programs have been taken by various political parties and organizations, socio-cultural organizations and institutions. The Awami League has said that they will pay homage to the National Memorial at 6 am today, pay homage to the portrait of Bangabandhu at Bangabandhu Bhaban at Dhanmondi No. 32 at 7 am, pay homage to the tomb of Bangabandhu at Tungipara and take various programs including prayers and milad mahfil.

Meanwhile, the BNP will hold a ‘freedom march’ in front of the party’s central office at Naya Paltan in the capital at 3pm today. Besides, after laying a wreath at the National Memorial in Savar, they will hold various programs in Dhaka’s Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, including visiting the grave of party founder Ziaur Rahman.
