Just make sure you go beyond the ones that have Ad: next to them – these are coaches who are playing to be shown at the top of your search.
When you google you will be able to check out an independent Google reviews, see anything that may have been said about them and read up on what they do on their website. Google allows you to search in the area you live to find someone who may get the types of challenges that happen locally.
You can then take a look at their Social Media profiles to get a feel of what they are like and the reviews given.
Tiktok has seen the rise of ‘self-proclaimed’ dating coaches. I recommend checking out what their qualifications are. Do they have any training, what is their experience/expertise and have they appeared in regular media (shows they are a trusted source).
2. Word of Mouth
Word of mouth or recommendations are always great. Testimonials can be manipulated or even make up. Whereas, talking to someone who has used the service will give you a genuine idea of what to expect and if they would be the right coach for you.
However, in my experience people don’t like to mention they have gone to a dating coach. Therefore, you may not be able to find those recommendations as easily.
