Force is defined as any influence which changes the motion of an object. A force can change the trajectory of the object, its speed or inertia. The SI unit of force is Newton. The influence of forces always acts in pairs. The magnitude of the force can be measured using a spring scale. Science students are taught about the concepts of force. They are required to complete numerous projects and to ease their workload, and they look for academic experts from whom they can buy assignment.

When an object is influenced by force, it would have the following effects:

  • It can make the object which is at rest to move
  • It can change the direction of the object
  • It can stop or slow down the velocity of a moving object
  • It can accelerate the velocity of the object

Types of Forces

Force is the push or pull of an object. There are a variety of forces which influences the object. The forces can be classified into the following:

  • Contact Force: The type of force that requires contact to influence the object’s movement. They are the most visible interactions of the materials. Here are different types of contact  forces:
  1. Friction is the opposing force when an object comes in touch with a surface. The frictional force serves as a resistance against the movement of the object.
  2. Tension Force: When the object’s weight is applied at one end of the object, direction away. Tension force is generated when the object and a cable have their influences exerted
  3. Air Resistance Force: When an object is a free fall or moves towards an upward trajectory, it comes into contact with air particles that slow down the object’s speed. This slowdown in the speed of the object is caused due to air resistance force.
  • Non-Contact force: The forces that do not require contact to influence the object’s movement. These forces are also called fundamental forces. The different types of non-contact force are:
  1. Gravitational Force: The attractive force which exists in objects having mass. The larger the object’s mass, the higher would be the gravitational force. With the help of gravity, the weights of objects are measured. The range of a gravitational force is infinite, but the gravitational influence decreases with large distances. Gravitational force is the weakest among the Non –Contact force.
  2. Electromagnetic Force: The force which involves electrically charged particles is called electromagnetic force. The electromagnetic force is responsible for electric and magnetic fields on Earth. The concepts of electromagnetic force are used in designing electrical and electronic objects.
  3. Nuclear Force: It is a type of force which holds the protons and neutrons of an atom together. In a nuclear reaction, a large amount of nuclear force is generated. The nuclear force is the strongest form of non-contact force, although the range of the force is the lowest.
