1 phase or 3 phase track lighting?
The most important choice you have to make with rail spots is the choice between 1 phase or 3 phase. But then you need to know what this means. 1-phase railspots are railspots that are operated by means of one switch. You switch all spots on the rail or on or off. For more flexibility and the presence of multiple power circuits, it is better to opt for 3-phase rail spots. It is then possible to leave certain groups of spots on and switch off another group of spots. The possibilities with rail spots
With rail spots you have the same options as with surface-mounted spots that are not mounted on a rail. For example, you can purchase the spots and rails in a certain color. Black and white are the most common colors. Do you want even more flexibility in addition to being able to shift? Then choose rail spots that are adjustable. You therefore aim the light beam at places where you cannot reach the rails. Dimmable rail spots are also an option. This way you choose lighting according to your needs. Brighter lighting if you want to see what you’re doing and you dim the rail spots if you want mood lighting. Also check the light beam. If you want to emphasize some objects, for example in the shop window, it’s good to have a small light beam. Choose a wider light beam if you need diffuse or general lighting.
