Whether interviewing for a job, presenting a pitch to a client, talking to a prospective partner, or doing just about anything else, self-esteem and self-confidence are essential. These attributes impact our everyday lives because they affect how other people view us and how we view ourselves. For instance, it’s well-known that people with higher self-esteem and self-confidence are more assertive and articulate communicators. On the other hand, those lacking these are meek and timid. Thus, they struggle to convey their point effectively.

Self-confidence and high self-esteem are also crucial because we face daily situations that require confidence and security. For example, having these attributes will help you do better when requesting an appointment with someone for a life-altering proposition, when approaching a teacher to ask a question, or showing up for an interview for a university or a job. In addition, self-esteem and self-confidence let you express disagreements respectfully, make your ideas or suggestions known, and help you say no without feeling guilty.

It’s also worth noting that people who speak confidently show they’re comfortable in their skin and believe in themselves, which can be particularly beneficial in some walks of life. For instance, an entrepreneur seeking funding from angel investors must prove they’re confident in their idea and believe they’ll go the distance. Similarly, such people also perform better in social situations and make friends easily because they communicate their needs respectfully while being cognizant of others’ needs. Furthermore, they also excel at resolving conflicts and disagreements.

Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Jane Morales is a coach of human development, potential, leadership, and assertiveness. Moreover, she’s also a meditation master, writer, and public speaker. Jane holds a BS in Marketing from Boston’s Bentley University and a Master of Science in Communications from Boston University. Furthermore, she has also obtained coaching certifications and trained in self-empowerment and potential fulfillment. As a result, she has the qualifications and expertise to speak about the importance of self-confidence and self-esteem.

She also helps her clients develop self-confidence and self-esteem through her Assertiveness, Empowerment, and Mental Strength Coaching method. Her work is based on assisting clients in understanding the energy of thought, organizing goals, and creating action plans. Moreover, she also helps clients connect with their accurate intelligence and take control of their life. Similarly, her program also focuses on assisting clients in finding meaning and success and making positive decisions for themselves.

Self-confidence and self-esteem go a long way. However, that doesn’t mean you can quickly boost your inner esteem and confidence. Instead, people often struggle to do so because it’s challenging and requires a life-long process. Elaborating further, Jane shares, “Self-esteem and self-esteem require genuine trust and self-understanding in yourself. Self-understanding requires understanding the origin of your insecurities and identifying your strengths and weaknesses.”

Furthermore, Jane Morales also believes that relaying positive affirmation messages to oneself is crucial to developing self-esteem and self-confidence. People generally repeat negative messages to themselves. However, this approach is detrimental because what we say to ourselves becomes a reality. She also discusses that certain people lack self-confidence because they’re unsure about their skills or competencies.

Regarding lack of confidence in the workplace, the assertiveness coach reveals, “You might lack confidence in your job role because you might need more training, information, and knowledge to perform well. But, on the other hand, people with a high level of competence in a given area often develop great self-confidence because they know they’re prepared to handle any situation that might arise.”

Self-confidence and self-esteem are crucial to making it far in this world. Jane recommends education, work, reading, and repetition to develop competence in your particular role, as it will make you more self-assured. If you’re still unsure how to create these attributes to succeed in your life, Jane Morales’s coaching might be what you need.
