This was reported by Sri Lankan media Daily Mirror on Tuesday. SJB MP Harsana Razakaruna told the media that the SJB had decided to take over the government if the president resigned.

He said a majority of MPs had suggested that the party should take charge of the government only when the incumbent president resigns.

Meanwhile, SJB leader Sajith Premadasa said in a tweet that his party was ready to take on any responsibility in Sri Lanka. However, they are not willing to be associated with any of the parties causing the crisis.
