Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has again called on the United States and NATO not to supply arms to Ukraine.
. . . . . . . . . .Lavrov said that if the United States and NATO were really interested in resolving the Ukraine crisis, they should first of all stop supplying arms and ammunition to Kiev. Lavrov made the remarks in an interview with China’s state-run Xinhua news agency. Qatar-based Al-Jazeera reported the news on Saturday.
The United States and European countries have been supplying billions of dollars worth of weapons to Ukraine to fight Russian aggression. US President Joe Biden has asked the US Congress for 33 billion to help Ukraine.
Moscow has repeatedly warned Washington of continued military assistance to Kiev. Russia has accused the United States of trying to escalate the conflict.
Earlier, the Kremlin described Western supplies to Ukraine as a threat to European security.
Russia, meanwhile, announced a new target for its campaign after nearly a month of trying to occupy Kiev since the start of the special operation. Since then, Russian troops have stepped up operations in eastern Ukraine.
