For example, maybe the microscope is broken or the chemicals in the lab have reacted in a way that is dangerous. In these cases, the sensors will start beeping, alerting any lab staff who happen to be nearby. Depending on the nature of the alarm, the employee will take any steps needed to resolve the issue. To make sure that their data is accurate, my employee will compare the computer’s data with the information from the sensors. They may also look at the lab books to make sure that their calculations are accurate.
Respond to emails and messages
At Labcorp, we try to make the workplace as friendly and casual as possible. As such, we don’t like to have employees sitting at their desks all day long, staring at a computer screen. Instead, we prefer to have them interacting with others at work, doing fun activities and receiving regular feedback. To that end, many of my employee’s days are spent responding to emails and messages. These messages and emails may come from clients, other employees, or even friends and family. Whatever the case may be, my employee will read and respond to each message and email received. They may also delegate work or help their colleagues with the tasks they have been assigned.
Wrap up the day with a lab tour
