Bankura’s Barikul police have arrested a man on charges of being involved in Maoist activities. Sanjeev Majumder, 35, a resident of Barahanagar police station area of ​​North 24 Parganas, was arrested from his home on Monday. When he was taken to Bankura Khatra Court on Tuesday, the judge ordered six days police custody. Bankura Superintendent of Police Vaibhav Tiwari said, “There are several cases against Dhrita. Several Maoist posters were also recovered from him. We will try to find out more information through interrogation. ”

On the night of January 26, police raided an online center in Gochara village of Barikul. Police claimed that Maoist activities were carried out behind the online center. Investigators said that as soon as the police arrived, some of the people who had gathered there fled through the back door. Police also recovered some Maoist posters from there. Police recently arrested Tipu Sultan and Arkadeep Goswami from Bolpur in Birbhum on suspicion of involvement in the incident. Investigators claim that Sanjeev was found after interrogating them.
