This is the 19th edition of the Asian Games. Earlier, the Asian Games were held in Beijing, China in 1990 and in Guangzhou in 2010. The Asian Games will be held in Hangzhou from September 10 to 25.

Corona waves are currently raging in several cities, including Shanghai, China. Officially, restrictions have also been imposed. Hangzhou is a city very close to Shanghai. The incidence of corona has also increased there. According to the Asian Olympic Committee (OCA), the Asian Games have been postponed due to all considerations. New game dates will be announced soon.
