I wanted to include football teams from all over the world on this list, even though some of them may not be well-known outside of their home countries. However, their crest designs are excellent, creative, and unique, which is why they made the cut. In this blog post, I’ll show you the top 10 best and most creative football logo designs.

Club Tijuana

A football team from Mexico named Club Tijuana was founded in 2007, and its logo features the colors red, black, and white. However, the dog that serves as the design’s primary element is what makes it so unique.

The club decided to depict this dog as his symbol since it is a very significant breed for Aztec and Mexican culture. The dog breed is known as “Xoloitzcuintles” and is an endemic breed from Mexico with more than 3000 years of history.

The extremely well-done dog illustration and the way the colors complement one another to create a striking contrast between the red background and the black and white illustration are what really set this logo design out.

Vikingur Gota

The Faroe Island football team Vikingur Gota was created in 2008 through the merger of two teams, G (Gtu Tróttarfelag) and L (Leirvíkar Tróttarfelag). The newly formed team needed a new emblem, so they held a contest to come up with a new badge.

The contest’s winner was a graphic designer by the name of Bardur Mikkelsen. His circular logo has the club’s name and the year it was founded, but its most crucial component is a depiction of a Viking in a simple, one-color design. This logo’s color scheme consists of Periwinkle, Black, and White.

Copenhague

The Danish Super League football team F.C. Copenhagen was founded by the merger of two already-established clubs in Copenhagen, Kjøbenhavns Boldklub and Boldklubben 1903, in order to concentrate the city’s fan base on a single team.

The current F.C. The Copenhagen logo was created in 1992, and the initial design was inspired by Thorvald Bindesbl, a Boldklubben employee who also created the emblem for Carlsberg, a company that has had a long-standing relationship with the football club.

The Copenhagen Football Club wears the colors white, blue, and red during matches, and the logo design’s color palette reflects these same colors. The club’s nickname, The Lions, is also depicted on the logo. The fact that this logo design uses only the crucial components and club iconography is what I find to be particularly appealing about it.

Sydney FC

Sydney Fc is a football team from the Australian League that was created in 2004, however, its current logo was first unveiled in 2017 following a brand and identity refresh.

The Sydney Opera House is depicted in this new logo design, which also makes use of a really lovely color scheme of sky blue, dark blue, and white. The combination of the traditional football crest shapes with a modern, minimalist graphic design approach is what distinguishes this logo design as a truly good rebrand.

Sydney FC

Graphic designers, The Charmain, football players, and club supporters all contributed to the process of developing the club’s new logo design, and they came up with a pretty nice crest design.

Bristol City

Bristol City, an English football team that competes in the Championship, the second division of the professional football league, released a redesign in 2019 that was created by Mr. B and Friends, a Bristol-based graphic design firm.

The Bristol City Football Club’s previous logo design was a representation of the city’s coat of arms, and because the club lacked a distinctive identity, the Design Agency, Club Staff, and Bristol City supporters all participated in the project’s creative development. After doing their research, everyone decided they wanted the Robin (the bird) and a contemporary logo design, which they succeeded in getting.

The new Bristol City logo is really contemporary, and what I like about it is the minimalist graphic design approach, which keeps only the most crucial details, such as the club name, the bird over the ball emblem, and the year of establishment, on the design.

The color scheme for this logo is Red, White, and Black. This is a pretty fantastic example of successful rebranding since it gives the team a new identity that its supporters can identify with and see as distinctive from other football clubs.

Internazionale Milano

One of the most significant clubs in Italy is FC Internazionale Milano, which competes in the Serie A league. This logo’s usage of typography elements to build the crest is something I find appealing. The letters I, M, F, and C were used, and the fact that the logo dates back to 1908 adds to its impressiveness.

After a few different iterations, this logo’s appearance dates back to 1988, and Milanese graphic design studio Left Loft undertook their most recent rebranding in 2014.

The original icon made with the letter was first released in 1908 and it’s still looking modern to this day because this crest fulfills the 7 qualities of good Logo Design which you can see in this post! The color scheme from this crest design is Blue, Black, Gold, and White, and this logo is a good example of a good Logo Design due to the original icon created with the letter was first released in 1908!

Liverpool

One of the most significant football clubs in England, Liverpool FC competes in the Barclays Premier League and has adopted my choice for their logo design in recent years.

The Liver Bird, which has been a part of Liverpool’s club emblem since the club’s inception, serves as the primary element in this minimalist Liverpool logo design. Red is the primary color used for this logo, however, it can change depending on the color of the background. Standing over Liverpool is the Liver Bird, abbreviated L.F.C.

Founded in 1970, Paris Saint Germain is a French team that competes in Ligue 1, which is the top division of French football. The real PSG Logo Design first appeared in a crude form in 1972, and over the years, it has undergone some revisions.

The genuine Paris Saint-Germain logo was created by Dragon Rouge, a graphic design studio, and debuted in 2013. This new version of the logo did away with the cradle symbol and gave the fleur de Lys more prominence.

Liverpool

The word “Paris” at the top of the logo is larger than it was in the previous edition to emphasize the city’s importance, while the lettering “Saint-Germain” is moved to the bottom of the design to reflect the new owners’ desire for PSG to attract more supporters and become more popular globally. The principal design component of the logo is the Eiffel Tower in the center, which has remained constant since the brand’s inception in 1970.

International typographic studio Babel Fot created a unique typeface especially for this crest design, using the same blue, red, and white color scheme as the French flag, with the fleur-de-lys in gold.

Ajax Amsterdam

Ajax Amsterdam is a Dutch football club and one of the most important teams in the history of the Eredivisie. Although the first Ajax Logo Design was published in 1900, it wasn’t until 1928 that a rough resemblance to today’s logos was apparent.

Both the 1928 version and the current Ajax Logo Design feature a picture of the Greek Hero Ajax in profile. The Greek hero Ajax picture is the primary component of the genuine Ajax Crest Design, which was unveiled in 1991. It is contoured in eleven lines to represent the eleven football players on the pitch.

The club’s name, the city of “Amsterdam,” three red stripes, and the word “Ajax” surround the illustration. Red, which denotes vigor and passion, and black, which emphasizes precision, strength, and elegance, make up the color scheme utilized for this logo. If you’re interested in learning more about the significance of each color, check out my page about color theory, where I’ll show you.

Nottingham Forest

Now that we have reached Number One, which is also my all-time favorite football logo, Nottingham Forest, an English football team with a long history but one that is now competing in the Championship, has won.

The most unexpected aspect of this logo design, which was created by graphic artist David Lewis, is that it was created in 1973 but still appears to be a fairly contemporary and simple logo design today. The Trent River is represented by the wavy lines in the Nottingham Crest, which also includes the typographic word “Forest” and a tree representing Sherwood Forest. The only color used for this insignia is red.

Conclusion

This is my list of the top 10 football club logos in the world. It was difficult to choose them because there are so many clubs with outstanding crests, and each fan believes that his club’s emblem is the greatest. I wanted to pick some obscure clubs for this top that have incredibly imaginative and distinctive crests! And I suggest reading these pages if you want to learn more about logo design.
