Significantly, Dynamatic Technologies of Bengaluru won a contract from Airbus to manufacture every door in the A220 aircraft family with wider bodies. This is under the Make in India initiative. First of all, the company already produces Flap Track Beam for Airbus A330 and – X Family planes.

The planned deal was declared at a ceremony which fell on the occasion of the presence of Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia last Sunday.

Although no figures were released, it should be emphasized here that this is one of India’s most significant export contracts involving an aerospace manufacturing company, according to Remi Maillard – President of Airbus India.

Dynamatic’s BSE shares soared as much as 10.7 percent after the deal announcement to an all-time high of Rs 7,280 on Thursday. According to Reuters, quoting the company’s CEO Udayant Malhotra, Dynamatic Tech will deliver the first doors to Airbus early next year.

Announced in 2023, Airbus contracted Tata Advanced Systems Ltd to produce the bulk and cargo doors for the A320 family of aircraft.  So, this is the second order by Dynamite within India. It had been received from Boeing’s plant located in Portland, with Sunshine Polymer Films being included as a subcontract towards it.

As far as Scindia, the manufacturing of aircraft components is increasingly relocating to India. The move will help the Indian aerospace ecosystem to get complete aircraft door-making technology in total, said the minister.

During this time, Scindia said that Airbus should invest in India; the firm was planning to source up to $ 1.5 billion out of a projected demand worth USD 750 million for imported aircraft parts from nations such as Canada and Singapore, among others.
