On the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, Eid Jamaat will be held in a total of 638 fields in seven upazilas of the district. The information was given by Deputy Commissioner Shamim Ahmed at a preparatory meeting on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations on Wednesday (April 26).
During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Shamim Ahmed said that the main congregation of Eid-ul-Fitr will be held at 8:15 am at the central Eidgah Maidan. The second congregation will be held at the same place at 8:15 am. However, in case of inclement weather, the main congregation will be held at the central mosque at 6:45 am as an alternative.

Besides, Eid Jamaat will be held at 50 Eidgah grounds in Bagatipara Upazila, 6 in Gurudaspur Upazila, 150 in Baraigram, 221 in Lalpur, 189 in Singra and a total of 65 Eidgah grounds in Naldanga Upazila. Apart from this, there are a total of three thousand 631 mosques in the district. Eid Jamaat will be held in some of those mosques.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Overall) Nadeem Sarwar, Additional Superintendent of Police Tareq Zubair, President of Natore Press Club Faraji Ahmed Rafiq Baban and Mufti Ariful Islam among others.
In response to another question, Abul Kashem, deputy director of Natore Islamic Foundation, said that no government directive has been issued so far to limit the number of worshipers or make masks compulsory. However, he urged the worshipers to come to the Eidgah wearing masks as much as possible.
