If you’re looking for a new role play game, then Illuvium must be high on the list as one of the best currently available. With huge areas to search, quests to complete, and levels to achieve, it offers even the most committed of players endless challenges.

In this article, you will find everything you need to know about Illuvium from start to end, including how to obtain all the bragging rights for your user account.

What is Illuvium?

Illuvium is an RPG game available on browsers where players play as citizens of the Kingdom of Regnier in a world called Perimadeia. The Kingdom is divided into three regions: Aquaris, Glac, and Incendium, each consisting of different provinces.

The player chooses a province to begin their journey and must complete quests to level up and gain new abilities such as fighting or crafting. As you level, you can progress onto higher quests where the enemy levels also increase, making it harder for the player to continue leveling due to stronger enemies.

NFTs in Illuvium

NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) are tokens that can be traded, and their value depends on the desirability of the token. The desirability is based on how unique or rare it is, what it can do, and if it has limited availability (which will increase its value).

NFTs in Illuvium were introduced as a new update to Perimadeia in which players could obtain NFTs through doing various actions throughout the game. It was said that there would be five different types of NFTs, each with its own unique functionality. These NFTs are called Gambles, Treasures, Trademarks, Collectibles & Striders. They can all be used in different ways and have various benefits.

Gambles

Gambles are a type of NFT that can be obtained through a quest available to users who have reached level 9 or higher. To complete the quest, you’re required to put 50,000 credits into the pot and spin the wheel, after which you will win an unknown reward.

Each time you gamble, your user account increases its rank slightly. If maxed out consecutively, it can give user accounts access to gamblers club, which offers various perks such as chances at better rewards for gambling. Gambles are unique tokens because they do not have any real value apart from bragging rights; however, they can be traded for other NFTs or LUC (in-game currency).

Treasures

Treasures are a type of NFT obtained by purchasing the Illuvium Monthly Membership. When your account is eligible for the monthly membership, you will receive a mail with all the details of how to claim them.

The first treasure is a six-armed bandit where it functions as a gambling token, but unlike other NFTs, they have no level value. The second treasure is called “The Emperor’s Seal.” It has many uses, such as allowing access to special merchants who sell items at discounted prices or sometimes provide exclusive items unavailable any other way. This includes gem boxes that give rare gems at increased drop rates than their regular counterparts.

Trademarks

Trademarks are a type of NFT that can be obtained in many ways, but the most common way is through completing quests. Each time you complete a quest, your trademark bar will increase, and once filled up completely, you will receive 1 Trademark token.

These tokens can only be used with the help of NPCs (Non-Player Characters) found in specific locations such as Glac or Incendium. However, they must first be registered to an NPC whose location is one of three colors.

The three types are red for loadout names, green for battle names, and blue for guild names. Once registered, they become tradable due to their worth depending on what was put into them, although once registered to a person, they can no longer be switched easily.

Collectibles & Striders

These are the last two types of NFTs, and these differ from the others because they each have a dedicated map showing where you must complete various quests. Collectibles are objects found in particular areas within Illuvium, and each one is logged into the game’s database under its unique name.

There are currently over 15,000 collectibles, with more being added all the time. The second type of NFT is called striders, which function as mounts for user accounts, allowing faster movement through Perimadeia (in-game grid) without running or flying. They can only be used by the user who registered them, and once they die, their owner can no longer use them till revived.

Experience Points

Players can earn EXP (experience points) by completing quests given by NPCs (non-player characters). These quests usually consist of killing a certain number of monsters, gathering an item, and returning to the NPC to receive gold and EXP.

There are different types of quest difficulties: Easy, Normal, Hard, and Elite. To move on to another difficulty, they must first complete all the quests on their current level.

Illuvium Towns

There are currently three towns in Illuvium: Thaumas Town (the starting town for players), Artifex Town, and Ardent Town. Each of these towns has various NPCs that offer different players’ services, such as buying equipment or selling potions.

There is also a church in each town where players can revive after dying during battle by spending some gold. One of the most critical NPCs in Illuvium is the Monumental, which allows players to check their current status and overall progress throughout the game.

One thing you need to be aware of when playing Illuvium is that once you die, the character is gone forever; even if you revive at the church using in-game currency, your level will remain where it was when you died.

Monsters

When playing Illuvium, you will notice some familiar monsters such as Elfiris Tree Spirit and Crag Tarantula, inspired by creatures found in ancient Greek mythology. There are also some mythological creatures that players may come into contact with, including Satyrs and Minotaurs. Players must beware of these enemies because they often attack relentlessly, resulting in death and losing your character if you’re not careful.

Carrying Out Searches

As mentioned before, Illuvium is an RPG game where players must move about the map completing quests. As they travel around Perimadeia, they will encounter Doomwood Forest, Aegir Tunnel, Elven Ruins, and Ancient Valley.

Each location holds secrets and hidden areas for players to explore, meaning it pays to be thorough in your search because you never know when there might be some treasure waiting to be found!

Arena Challenges

Another great feature available in Illuvium is challenging other players by visiting one of three Arenas located throughout the map. Once at the Arena, players can select who they wish to battle with.

Here you’ll also find the Mystery Box where you can win prizes if you manage to open it without facing an instant defeat timer. One thing worth mentioning is that the higher level your opponent, the better rewards you may potentially win, so it’s important to visit regularly!

If players are successful enough during battles within Illuvium, they could even earn medals for their character, which look great against their name when others see them on leaderboards.

Illuvium is one of those games in which you can find yourself absorbed for hours. There is so much to explore and achieve that it’s difficult to imagine that you would ever come to the end of the game!
