Farhaj Sarwar is one of the several names that have done more for humanity than any other individual in the modern history of Pakistan. The man has shed the celebrity tag to become the most loved and appreciated philanthropist and entrepreneur not only across his own country but throughout the Middle Eastern region and various nations in the European Union as well. Farhaj Sarwar has worked hard for decades to give back to various communities not only their right to live but their dignity and self-respect as well.
In his own words, Farhaj Sarwar says,
“I have always believed that any person who is willing to make a change is an innovator of sorts. He is the one who challenges all odds and wants to see the world progress. I have been of a similar thought process from a very young age and I consider myself fortunate to have the strength and the ability to make a difference. My achievements and successes are all due to the blessings of my mother. She has taught me and all my siblings that legacies are only built when you work hard for them and forget the difference between day and night while you toil. I believe that entrepreneurs like us have the courage and the resources to change the face of Pakistan and the whole world if we put in the necessary effort and have the will that it takes to make a difference.”
Farhaj who is currently the Managing Director of NRS International, the Senior Vice Chairman of BSF which is the Bilqees Sarwar Foundation and also the Director of Sheikh Noor-Ud-Din and Sons Private Limited is a social entrepreneur who has inspired change across the globe on many occasions. The biggest aim of his various organizations is to alleviate people of poverty and bad sanitary conditions. He has constantly been working towards the Welfare of society and contributing heavily towards the development of infrastructure, healthcare facilities, not-for-profit organizations, charities, schools, colleges, skill development institutions, and blood donation camps all across the region.
The same man was present at the Brussels Aid Ex Conference where organizations and individuals from all across the globe used this platform to showcase various products and tools meant to help workers in developing countries. If they find themselves in harsh working conditions, they can use these products such as solar panels, and chargers powered by salt and water among several other innovations to make their work easier.
At the same conference, when it was held in Nairobi, Kenya, among the many participants were NRS Relief and its Managing Director Farhaj Sarwar. The man has on several occasions advocated the use and set up of world-class fire prevention systems when constructing houses. He is now responsible for refugees being able to sleep in fireproof tents. The fire safety solution that well-constructed houses come with was made available for safety tents because of NRS International and its humanitarian efforts.
Making A Difference Through The BSF
Sarwar has always believed that a business has a strong responsibility towards the community that it benefits from by selling its goods and services. This is where the entire belief of contributing towards the development of the country formed roots in the mind of Farhaj. The Bilqees Sarwar Foundation came into existence for this very reason. It was established after the huge success of NRS International and HSNDS. Farhaj came up with this idea after having an epiphany when he looked at the people around him.
BSF started working proactively in various sectors such as education, healthcare, welfare for prisoners, and several other humanitarian projects. The enterprise has also ventured into infrastructural development and so far has been able to develop hundreds of successful projects making the lives of the citizens of the country a lot easier.
The Thought Process Behind The Bilqees Sarwar Foundation And NRS International
Both NRS International and Bilqees Sarwar Foundation are the brainchildren of Farhaj Sarwar. Having witnessed the growth of several countries around him in the highly globalized environment, Farhaj realized that his own country was still facing several challenges related to social development, healthcare facilities, academic growth, and general sanitation as well. This was the biggest reason that he committed himself and his organizations to the improvement of the various communities within his country and around the globe.
He was motivated to invest in the academic infrastructure of the country before anything else. The enterprise later ventured into quality healthcare and emergency response projects aimed at aiding in humanitarian crises all over the world. The biggest example of the latter was the numerous efforts made by NRS International to help the victims of the Nepal earthquake a few years back.
In The Words Of Farhaj Sarwar, “We have set a big goal for all our initiatives and organizations and this includes NRS International Bilqees Sarwar foundation and HSNDS.
We have set the ball in motion and are trying to gather funding for the humanitarian projects that we will be carrying out all across the globe. There are people all over the world who need us and every enterprise that is willing to make a difference in their lives. We want to double our budget by the end of next year so that we can fund campaigns that aim to educate the girl child all over the world. We are also looking to provide education and healthcare to remote areas that are otherwise disconnected from the modern world.
Our primary focus is going to give education to the coming generation. As of now, we have estimated that close to 9.4 million children in Pakistan alone do not get formal education. The same trends can be seen across various South Asian countries and some far regions of Africa as well. We have come up with a plan to provide affordable and quality education in addition to a sustainable academic infrastructure for all these regions over the period of the next two years.”
The efforts made by the three organizations under the leadership of Farhaj Sarwar are noble. Only time will tell how successful the man is in realizing his ambitions and making a positive impact across the world.
