Making seamless transactions on the go is everyone’s dream when traveling. It saves time and makes up for a pleasant travel experience. We have seen lots of seamless transactions that have made traveling a lot easier. Hotel bookings, rail or flight bookings, holiday pack bookings, etc., and all a traveler has to do is check in and enjoy their stay. While these transactions are specific to what we quote as holiday planning, some other transactions are required on a daily basis.
The government initiated the toll service on roads for commuters to pay tolls when traveling inter-state or intra-state via highways or multilane roads. Traditionally commuters paid tolls by sometimes standing in long queues behind cars and trucks in the toll booth. With the introduction of FASTag, this was made hassle-free. Commuters had to top-up a FASTag balance and travel without waiting in the queue at the toll booth. The FASTag service at the toll booth detects the car’s FASTag balance by scanning a FASTag code on the front of the car. This fee is deducted as a toll fee. Interestingly, this service has made road travel much more comfortable and seamless.
Imagine what would be if people get to use this service anywhere else. In the latest announcement by Paytm Payments Bank, they mentioned the use of FASTag for optimizing parking facilities for commuters at Patna Airport. Patna Airport is authorized by the Airports Authority of India (AAI). Recently, the payments app introduced people to the FASTag feature at the Airport parking lot in a move to reduce congestion and long queues at the airport’s parking lots. Initially, the feature is only available at Patna Airport’s parking lot. For the successful implementation of this feature, Paytm Payments Bank has partnered with ASN, a parking management service provider.

The introduction of FASTag will reduce the cash payment method and make up for a quick and comfortable parking experience. Previously, commuters had to pay with cash at the Patna Airport’s parking lot, which would create congestion at the airport’s parking lot. Hopefully, the introduction of FASTag will solve this problem. It will enhance the travel experience and make up for an awesome travel memory.
Paytm’s partnership with the parking management service provider ASN is to uncover the parking problems at the airport’s parking lots by bringing together their respective expertise to handle the parking situation at the parking lot. This collaboration is aimed at a better parking experience for commuters by streamlining the payment process and reducing the time spent in queues at the parking lot. Transitioning from highway toll access to the airport’s parking lot, Paytm’s FASTag has come a long way, and people are already a fan of this feature that will soon be in every Paytm user’s palm. This will allow commuters to experience smoother entry and exit without waiting in long queues and wasting time.
While there is no update on when the feature is set to make its debut, there is a firm update on the first property where this feature will be seen is in Patna Ariport’s parking lot. A lot can be measured from this small step toward accessible and seamless travel across the airport. As big as it gets, Paytm has once again shown how its technology is showing genuine progress in different sectors and industries. From a payment service to money lending, managing e-commerce and recharges to booking flights to paying tolls, Paytm has come a long way.
People have a strong belief that Paytm will soon launch this service in other bigger and busier airports across the country.
