Honda has been a part of Indian families for generations, and only recently has it launched a new Scooter model. The new Honda Dio 2023 was launched on 12th June, with prices starting from ₹70211. The launch of Dio 2023 marks Honda’s second two-wheeler that satisfies OBD-II compliance. The first entry was Honda Activa 2023. The new Honda Dio 2023 comes with the Honda Smart Key System, which is definitely a promotion from the regular key insert lock and unlocks feature.
The Honda Smart Key System enables the vehicle to smartly access the lock and unlock feature. There are a lot of other features associated with the Honda Smart Key System. This feature is definitely a level up from the traditional key-insert key system. This Smart Key System was seen first in the Honda Activa 2023 that was launched earlier this year. This feature is now a part of the latest Honda Dio 2023 vehicle.
The Honda Dio 2023 operates on an engine that is OBD-II compliant, and it is a 110cc PGM-FI eSP engine. The engine is the heart of the vehicle, and the Honda Dio 2023’s engine develops 7.86PS of maximum power and 9.03Nm of peak torque. Honda Dio 2023’s engine is also mated to an automatic transmission.
The new Honda Dio 2023 boasts a stylish design, giving it a futuristic look and feel. While it feels and looks futuristic, it is bound to make it quite an experience with an all-digital instrument panel that beams data on range, average fuel efficiency, and real-time fuel efficiency. The digital dashboard on the vehicle also features additional details like the total trip, clock, and due service. With such features, the vehicle is launched in three different variants. The standard, deluxe, and smart variants.
The Standard variant of the vehicle is priced at ₹70211, while the other two variants are priced higher, with the Deluxe selling for ₹74212, and the Smart for ₹77712. All the prices are ex-showroom prices, New Delhi. All three variants have side stand indicators and an engine inhibitor.
While the Honda Smart Key System is a special upgrade, there are other features that make the new Honda Dio 2023 special. The redesigned front ribs, LED position lamp, alloy wheels, split grabrail, and a new Dio logo makes the new Honda Dio 2023 a worthy candidate in the market. With Honda’s Smart Key System, users can access smart find, smart unlock, smart start, and smart safety features.
The highlight out of the three variants is the Smart variant which comes with extra features, like Lock Mode, which facilitates a 5-in-1 function, an engine start/stops switch, a passing switch combi-brake system with an equalizer, and a 3-step adjustable rear suspension. All these features make the Smart variant the top one with the higher price out of the two.
