On January 27, an Indian astrologer had prophesied that “there would be no conflict between Russia and Ukraine.”

Russia started a military offensive on Ukraine’s neighbour, breaching the country’s borders and striking military sites near major towns. According to Reuters, the strikes began early on Thursday and resulted in the deaths of 40 Ukrainian servicemen and roughly ten civilians.

An Indian astrologer was mocked online amid prayers and support for Ukraine after predicting that tensions between Ukraine and Russia would not develop into a war. “There will be no conflict between Russia and Ukraine,” astrologer Anirudh Kumar Mishra declared on Twitter on January 27. Memes and caustic remarks filled the comments section as news of Russia’s war on Ukraine surfaced.

As events turned out opposite to astrologer Mishra’s prediction, he retweeted his prediction from 2018. It said, “In the next term of Vladimir Putin, Russia will form a union much alike the Soviet Union.”

Mishra maintained his forecast of tensions not erupting into a catastrophic conflict only seven hours ago. “We are merely witnessing a tactical operation from Russia; this will not escalate into a big conflict, and it is not the commencement of the Third World War.” “Mars is causing this instability, and if Mars loses part of its influence, the possibility of conflict will reduce,” the astrologer tweeted.

“I express what I see, I anticipate what I read, and Tweets are my predictions,” Mishra writes on Twitter.

The West’s dread of assault was heightened on February 19 when Russia’s strategic nuclear forces conducted drills under the supervision of President Vladimir Putin. According to the location of Mars, Mishra forecasted a disruption, but not a big conflict, by posting a photo of US President Joe Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“The greater importance of Mars in the solar system means that there will be disruption across the world, but it does not imply that a huge conflict would erupt.” Mishra tweeted, “Even the pressure on Ukraine does not suggest war.”

According to Reuters, this is one of Europe’s largest state-on-state attacks since World War II. Explosions were recorded in numerous locations of Ukraine following Putin’s invasion early Thursday, and air sirens went off in Kyiv, signifying that the capital city was under assault. According to an IFX news agency report, the Russian defence ministry said shortly after that Ukraine’s air bases and military infrastructure had been neutralised.

Ukraine’s foreign minister promised to battle and destroy Russia after Zelenskiy proclaimed martial law in the nation. Russian military columns have been deployed at the Russia-Ukraine border for days.
