Lightning devices have been installed at two establishments in Bajitpur and Nikli upazilas of Kishoreganj. One is on the roof of Kailag Union Parishad of Bajitpur Upazila and the other is on the roof of Shaheed Smaranika Girls’ High School in Nikli Upazila.

Md. Afzal Hossain MP said people and animals in the haor area are most at risk from lightning. Lightning strikes have been installed to protect them. He said that all the unions around Haor would be brought under this project in phases.
