Kalbaishakhi is coming in 16 districts of the country. In the meantime, Kalbaishakhi and strong winds have started in eight districts. At that time, warning has been issued for the river ports of nine districts of the country. Kalbaishakhi can hit those districts at a speed of 60 to 70 kmph. The meteorological department’s forecast further said that a mild heat wave has swept over Gopalganj, Rangamati, Chandpur, Moulvibazar, Rajshahi, Barisal, Patuakhali districts and Khulna division of the country today. Tomorrow, Saturday too, there will be mild heat wave in those areas of the country. Temperatures may be close to scorching in different parts of the country, including the capital. However, there is a possibility of rain and storm in the afternoon. At least in the afternoon the temperature may come down a bit.
In this regard, meteorologist of the Meteorological Department Bazlur Rashid told Prothom Alo that there may be Kalbaishakhi in 15-16 districts of the country by tonight. In the meantime, Kalbaikhakhi has spread in eight districts. The same kind of storm-rain may happen tomorrow.
According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, severe thunderstorms are expected in the northern districts of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dinajpur, Tangail, Naogaon, Pabna, Bogra, Dhaka and Sylhet. Boats in these areas have been asked to move carefully. On the other hand, Jessore, Kushtia, Khulna, Faridpur, Madaripur, Comilla and Barisal may experience thunderstorms at speeds of 35 to 60 kmph. There may be thunder and rain at this time.
