Chelsea FC legend Frank Lampard was called to action soon after the board of members of Chelsea FC decided to sack their head coach Graham Potter after a bad spell at the club. Graham Potter, the ex-coach of Brighton and Hove Albion, was given the role of the head coach of Chelsea FC after the board of members of the club decided to sack the then-head coach Thoman Tuchel. The decision was made early on after firing Tuchel from his post at the club to appoint Graham Potter as the next head coach of the club.

Graham Potter didn’t turn out to be what the club wanted from him. After a string of poor results, Graham saw himself in Tuchel’s place. Chelsea FC, one of the top-tier clubs of the English Premier League, is currently witnessing one of its worst spells of all time since its inception. Chelsea is currently 11th in the Premier League table and has suffered multiple defeats and draws at the hands of their city rivals Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United, and other League clubs. Potter couldn’t induce his magic into the team as he did at his previous club, Brighton and Hove Albion. On April 2nd, after a defeat at Stamford Bridge against the hands of Aston Villa by a score of 2-0, Graham Potter was dismissed from his post as the head coach of the club, and the assistant coach under Graham Potter was made the interim coach.

Bruno was previously at Brighton and Hove Albion as a player, and soon after, he decided to start his coaching career. He was appointed as a senior player development coach at Brighton. He then followed Potter to Chelsea and was the assistant coach until Potter was sacked. Bruno got a brief opportunity to take the mantle previously taken by Jose Mourinho, Antonio Conte, Frank Lampard, and others. He took over as the interim coach of Chelsea and managed only one game that ended in a 0-0 draw against Liverpool at the Bridge.

Soon after the draw with Liverpool, Chelsea legend Frank Lampard was called for the tough job, and he accepted the offer. Frank was appointed as a Caretaker Manager of the club until the end of the season. Frank said that taking up the job was an easy decision for him, and he would never turn down an offer that would bring him closer to his home. “It’s a pretty easy decision for me. This is my club. I have a lot of emotions and feelings. I’ll give my utmost to give the fans what they want until the end of the season. There’s a lot of talent in the squad. I’m excited to work with that talent and to help them,” said Lampard about his new role at his favorite club.

Lampard is Chelsea’s all-time top, even after retiring from the sport in the year 2017. Lampard was previously at Chelsea as its head coach for nearly two seasons from July 2019 to January 2021 before he was sacked by the board of members of the club. Tuchel came in after Lampard left.

Lampard is very excited to start working again at Chelsea. He believes that Chelsea star Mason Mount will be a huge addition to the squad and that his services are a must-need for the team. They both go a long way back in their career and have good relations. They both worked together at Derby County and in Chelsea during Lampard’s first stint at the club.

Chelsea is currently sitting at the 11th position in the league and has tough opponents to face before the season comes to an end. They are 32 points behind the league leaders Arsenal with 29 matches since the league started in August 2022. Chelsea’s next battle is against Wolves in the league before facing UEFA Champions League title holders Real Madrid in a two-legged Champion League Quarter Finals tie in the 2022-2023 UEFA Champions League.
