If music is a measure of man’s soul, newcomer Max Cartier has already defined himself as a great spirit. Max has lived a richly textured life, sometimes in black and white and sometimes in every shade of the Technicolor rainbow, a wealth of experience reflected in the timber of his voice. With a new album of classics just released and a collection of original songs underway in the studio, this breakout artist is on the verge of being the next pleasant surprise in your playlist.

Born to Sing

Max Cartier was born into a European family in Buenos Aires, at the crossroads of many cultural influences. Exploring the riches of both Latin American and European cultures and constantly surrounded by music and fine art, he was on a quest for beauty from the start.

An avid traveler, Max had already charted successful paths as an entrepreneur, winemaker, and financier before embarking on a new and unexpected adventure. When the Coronavirus pandemic put the world on pause, he found himself cooped up inside a Parisian apartment. A Brazilian girlfriend he called regularly kept telling him his voice was something he needed to share with the world and at her urging, Max decided to take singing lessons. Nobody was more surprised than Max himself with the response from music world insiders. From the Tenor of the Opéra de Paris to the elite voice instructor of numerous international stars, they all agreed: Max Cartier was born to sing.

In Love with the Timeless Spirit of Romance

What Max Cartier found within himself in the City of Love was pure magic. The timeless quality of his voice, with its bright, warm tone and suave clarity, evokes the epic romance of the Big Band era without getting stuck in the past. In the world, Max Cartier’s voice spins, true love is just around the next corner.

“My Way” was the born-again crooner’s debut single in 2021, followed by “The Lady is a Tramp.” In 2022 he recorded his first album, Words of Love, in LA’s iconic Capitol Studios. He is currently at work on a new album with all original songs in French, written in collaboration with the talented Parisian composer Johan Czerneski.

Renaissance Man

If Max Cartier’s unlikely story reminds you of a fairy tale, you wouldn’t be far off the mark. It’s an inspiration for all of us who believe in the magic of second chances. The crafting of a star is a kind of rebirth, giving voice to a passion for the pursuit of the beauty that’s already driven a lifetime of discipline and adventure.

Though his songs might flirt with nostalgia’s allure, Max Carter isn’t looking back. Get ready to join him on an exciting new musical journey.
