Every celebrity has been a part of some of the most infamous and nasty controversies. Celebrities are usually rising stars, but due to their flamboyant lifestyles and affluence, things might go wrong and cause a media controversy.

When a celebrity makes improper statements or acts in an unacceptable manner, they face backlash and lose followers, fans, and respect. At any point, their image might be jeopardized. Some may even harm a celebrity’s reputation, while others may only increase their popularity.

There was no shortage of celebrity scandals this May, with multiple celebrities coming under fire for various reasons, so we compiled a list in case you missed one.

Steve Burton

Steve Burton was the first to make news just five days into May, but the controversy included his wife, who was carrying a child from another man.

After finding out the tragic news, the actor immediately took to social media to announce their separation, putting an end to their 23 years of marriage. The now-former couple has three children, Makena, Jack, and Brooklyn.

“I wanted to clear something up,” his statement on Instagram began, “Sheree and I are separated.”

“She recently announced that she’s expecting her 4th child. The child is not mine. We are still co-parenting our three beautiful kids. We would appreciate privacy at this time. Much luv, Steve.”

The disturbing news comes only six months after he was sacked from General Hospital for noncompliance with the show’s coronavirus vaccine requirement. He is obviously going through a terrible period right now.

Fred Savage

Speaking of being fired from a program or show, Fred Savage is someone who knows exactly what it’s like to be fired from a program or show since he was recently fired as executive producer and director of ABC’s “The Wonder Years” due to misconduct claims.

He portrayed the lead character Kevin Arnold in the original 1988 series before becoming the reboot’s director and producing eight episodes for the first season.

The specifics of the claims against the actor are unknown, but he allegedly participated in unprofessional behavior and had vocal outbursts during filming.

This isn’t his first time being accused of wrongdoing; he has been accused of it before. Alley Mills, his co-star, said in 2018 that he and Jason Hervey were accused of sexual harassment by a costumer, which led to the show’s discontinuation in 1993.

A staff member of Fox’s comedy “The Grinder” has also filed a complaint against him, saying that he abused and harassed her on the set of the program in 2015. The matter was eventually settled and dismissed.

Young Thug

Let’s move on to arrests, with Young Thug being the person arrested since May began roughly two weeks ago. He is not alone, as Gunna has also been apprehended.

The two rappers were arrested and charged with criminal street activity and conspiracy to violate the (RICO) Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.

They are two of 28 people related to YSL who have been accused in a 56-count indictment but have only been charged with one count of RICO conspiracy.

The conspiracy charge stems from an alleged incident on January 24, 2013, while the gang charge is tied to a suspected conduct on May 12, 2018, according to different news outlets.

Ezra Miller

Ezra Miller, who uses the pronouns they and them, is back in the headlines, but this time it’s because of a viral video in which they are seen throwing tantrums while being detained by officers.

During their arrest in Hawaii, they grew aggressive against police officers and made the strange claim that they videotaped themselves being assaulted for the sake of art.

The “Flash” actor even questioned the officers in charge about their name and badge number before invoking their 9th and 4th amendment rights to avoid being arrested.

They also requested that their Flash ring not be taken away and accused one of the officers of grabbing their genitals. The court dropped the harassment accusation and a related charge of obstructing a public walkway after they pled no contest to the disorderly conduct charge and were fined $500.

Andy Dick

Andy Dick was the subject of yet another arrest this month. He was charged with sexual violence after an adult male said the comedian sexually attacked him in California after an encounter at an Orange County campground.

The suspected victim was transported to the hospital for an examination. The entire incident was allegedly filmed on a live YouTube video from the RV park. A $25,000 bail has been set for the troubled actor.

Amber Heard

The month of May was also filled with headlines about Johnny Depp’s infamous defamation case against his ex-wife Amber Heard. However, on the 16th day of their defamation trial, Amber acknowledged in court that she did not contribute her divorce settlement of $7 million to charity, despite earlier testimony to the contrary.

This is because Depp’s lawsuit prevented her from fulfilling her promise to donate her total compensation to charity, although she claimed she had previously done so twice in public.

Terence Dougherty, the ACLU’s top operating officer, even testified that pledged funds seldom arrive in full and that Heard never agreed to a payment timetable. So yet, only $1.3 million has been donated by or on behalf of Heard. She made a $350,000 direct donation in December 2018 and has since stopped making payments.

Depp, on the other hand, gave $100,000, with another $350,000 coming from Fidelity Investments. Dougherty says her ex-partner, Elon Musk, covered another $500,000 payment made via a Vanguard account.

Lenny Hochstein

Lenny Hochstein, who is most known as the former husband of Lisa Hochstein of The Real Housewives of Miami,” is facing his fifth malpractice lawsuit after mistreating a patient’s breast implants and pushed her to endure four procedures, each of which reportedly left her with infections.

The patient and her spouse are suing the plastic surgeon in Miami for $30,000. The complaint further claims that Lenny ignored several things throughout the procedure, leading the patient to suffer injuries and emotional and mental discomfort.

The fact that he has been sued for malpractice on multiple occasions is concerning, and anybody should be wary of going to him for medical treatment.

Liam Payne

The month of May came to a close with some disappointing news for fans. One day after their separation was confirmed, Liam Payne and his fiancee, Maya Henry, announced their breakup.

Not only that, but the former member of One Direction was spotted in London strolling hand-in-hand with his new girlfriend, Aliana Mawla, whom many have blamed for destroying their relationship.

The claims that Mawla was the cause of the former couple’s breakup originated from Henry’s reply when fans were confused if she was the woman Payne was hugging in one of the photographs that went viral.

“I love all of the fans so much but please stop sending me these pictures of my fiancé wrapped around another woman,” she clarified. “This is not me and it’s hard enough knowing this has happened without seeing it. Enough now.”

These scandals are something that we can’t avoid, especially if you are a celebrity. We have heard so much news about May, and we thought it was time to share our thoughts on these scandals.

This shows that, as humans, we are prone to mistakes and make many faults. On par with it, there’s always room for growth and learning.
