Ukraine’s military says Russian forces have begun blowing up bridges in northeastern Ukraine to quell a counter-attack.

This was demanded by the General Staff of Ukraine in the latest operational update on Saturday. News from the BBC.

The operational update states that Russian forces blew up three bridges in the Sirkuni and Rusky Tishki areas east of Kharkiv to slow down the Ukrainian army’s counter-offensive.

However, the truth of the claim made by the General Staff could not be confirmed, CNN reported.

In the past two weeks, Ukrainian troops have recaptured several villages north and east of Kharkiv, making it more difficult for Russians to use artillery against the city. Ukrainian forces have also threatened to block Russian supply lines for troops fighting in Donetsk and Luhansk.
