For a long time, robotic treatments and sophisticated transplants, which are safer than open surgeries, were seen as a matter of privilege, only available in private institutions. However, a 39-year-old man from Uttar Pradesh’s Farrukhabad found hope at Delhi’s Safdarjung Institution, which became the first government hospital to perform a robotic kidney transplant.
