Spartans sweep Farmers for MIL championship

Tyler Russell served up 13 aces to go with six kills and eight digs, and the Seabury Hall boys volleyball team swept Molokai 25-22, 25-22, 25-18 in the Maui Interscholastic League Division II tournament final Friday night at “The Barn” in Hoolehua.

Thomas Russell had a team-high 13 kills as well as four aces and seven digs for the Spartans (7-2), who secured the MIL overall title over the Farmers (7-3) and earned the MIL’s lone berth to the Division II state tournament. Luca Connor had 37 assists, two aces and two blocks, Ethan Palmer and Blaze Portraz each added five kills, and Anthony Martin had four kills.
