The United States has passed the epidemic of the deadly disease Corona. The country’s top infectious disease specialist and the president’s health adviser. Anthony Fawcett made the remarks in an interview with PBS News Hour on Tuesday in the context of his assessment of the Corona situation in the United States.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Dr. PBS News Hour. “Over the last few days, we’ve seen that the number of patients diagnosed as corona positive each day is much lower than 90,000; Hospitals also do not have the presence of millions of critically ill corona patients as before and the daily death rate from this disease has come down to much less than a thousand.

“It simply came to our notice then. At the moment, we are definitely not in an epidemic. ‘

In December 2019, the world’s first corona patient was diagnosed in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. The first death in Corona occurred in China.

The deadly virus then began to spread rapidly across the world. To address the situation, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared a state of emergency on January 20, 2020.

But since that did not improve, the WHO finally declared Corona an epidemic on March 11 of that year.

The first corona patient was identified in the United States on January 20, 2020. Since then the United States has topped the list of countries in terms of total infections and deaths from the disease.

According to official estimates, between January 20, 2020 and April 26, 2022, a total of 6 crore 26 lakh 8 thousand 246 people were infected with corona in the country and a total of 10 lakh 19 thousand 84 people died of covidar-related diseases.

In the last two years of the epidemic, the United States has seen a spike in daily corona infections and deaths at various times. The country has gone through a stage where about 1 million people are infected and 4,000 are dying every day.

However, the prevalence of this disease has decreased significantly in the United States recently. According to the US Department of Health, 3 million 8 thousand 115 people have been diagnosed with corona in the country in the last one week and 2 thousand 104 people have died of covidar-borne diseases.

Of those, 58,737 were infected with the corona in the United States on Wednesday and 311 died of the disease.

However, despite the remarkable improvement in the situation in the United States, the world is still not free of epidemics, said Dr. Fauci. In an interview, he said, “Although the United States is free of epidemics, the world is not yet free of epidemics. The Corona epidemic is still raging in many parts of the world, and we, the people of the world, are still in the epidemic. ‘
