The Prime Minister said, “Most of our children spend their time in the flats with mobiles, laptops and iPads.
Which is very detrimental to their physical and mental health. He urged the parents to take the children out for a while and play on the field and give them a chance to run.
The head of government further said, “I urge all parents to pay attention to the education of their children as well as sports. Then the children will not go astray. ‘
Sheikh Hasina said, ‘Sports, exercise and culture are essential for a nation. Everyone needs to keep this in mind, we need to encourage everyone from the very youngest child and create opportunities. Only then can our sons and daughters become human beings. They will have a good mind, they will learn to read well and will not go astray – that is my belief. ‘
The Prime Minister said, ‘Sports is a kind of physical exercise. It benefits our children physically and mentally. At the same time, there were many types of sports in the rural areas of our country, they need to be revived. For this, inter-school competitions, inter-college competitions and inter-university competitions should be organized. ‘
He said, “We have to re-introduce various sports including football, cricket, volleyball, swimming and hockey at the district and upazila level. Inter-school competitions have to be organized. Which is why we started inter-school competitions in football from an early stage. As a result, we are creating a lot of new players and they are also making a significant contribution at the national level. So in the meantime, everyone will pay special attention. “His government is doing what it needs to do,” he said.
Mentioning less sports venues in the capital Dhaka, the Prime Minister said, “We have taken some initiatives to have playgrounds in every area.” Where there is space, I am turning it into a playground. Because, it is absolutely necessary to have playground in every area. In that case, an academy is being built next to the parliament building for sports for the special needs.
